Before we were Evans, Forse and Jones Furneral Directors, we were D Caesar Jones Funeral Directors who had been serving Cardiff for over a century. We now look forward to a bright future as we work alongside fellow funeral directors in Cardiff and Church Village, to continue caring for local communities with high standards of funeral care.
Originally, we were established in St Cenydd, Caerphilly, before relocating to Cardiff after the St Cenydd Mining Disaster. We also are known for having the first female funeral director in Cardiff!
Today, our funeral home is based in Pantbach Road, Rhiwbina, meaning we are easily accessible from Llanedeyrn, Radyr, Lisvane, Tongwynlais and the rest of South Wales.
We will tailor every aspect of the funeral to all of your wishes, all you have to do is tell us what is important to you. We have the skills and knowledge to deal with all types of funeral services; whether your preference is a religious, non religious or contemporary ceremony, we can cater for all of your needs.
You can trust us to organise a beautiful and dignified send off for your loved one. We will listen to your every need and understand how your loved one lived their life, so the day reflects their life in a meaningful way.
You are not alone during this difficult time, as we are here to help. Just a call away, our phone lines are open 24 hours a day for advice, support and any questions you may have.
We are proud to be part of Dignity Funerals, a collection of the UKs finest funeral directors, with each and every one committed to setting superior standards.

From 9 September 2024, there will no longer be a doctor's fee in England and Wales when arranging a funeral. This is because from this date, all deaths in England and Wales will be independently viewed, either by a relevant coroner or by a Medical Examiner and the cost will be met by the NHS.
A Medical Examiner is a specifically trained independent senior doctor who will scrutinise all deaths across a local area that do not fall under the coroner's jurisdiction. By providing a greater level of scrutiny over the cause of deaths; it is hoped that the introduction of Medical Examiners will make it less likely that unnatural causes of death will go unnoticed; that the number of deaths unnecessarily referred to the coroner will be reduced and that national data about causes of death will be captured with greater accuracy.
Medical Examiners, or Medical Examiner Officers, will also be available to meet with families, or their representatives, if they wish to discuss the cause of death.
