Memories that last a lifetime

Commemorate the life of your loved one with a Memorial, to allow their memory to live on. You can create something truly special, which will reflect the life they lived, the love they shared and the memories that remain. From headstones and urns, to inscriptions, Memorial plaques, vases and benches, plus statues, jewellery, and a whole host more. There are so many options available; classic and personal.

Choosing a Memorial can be another way to say goodbye and provide a comforting place for friends and family. Many may appreciate having a dedicated place to visit and reflect, to help them feel connected to someone of such importance in their lives.

Classic Memorial

Classic Memorials offer a respectful tribute and can be personalised to tell a story. Here are a few examples of Classic Memorials available:

  • Memorial headstones rest at the top of the grave, inscribed with their name, date of birth, date of death and inscription or poem.
  • Memorial plaques are attached to a fixture with their name and a sentimental message.
  • Memorial vases can add colour with fresh flowers you bring during your visit.
  • Memorial statues can symbolise the beliefs they lived by.

When choosing your Memorial, remember there are regulations which specify material types and sizes of Memorials allowed. Please contact your Memorial Specialist on 01792 775262 for more information.

Personal Memorial

A personal Memorial acts as a reminder of someone you have lost and the memories you had shared:

  • Memorial jewellery, or cremation jewellery, can be crafted from ashes, a photo, a signature or locket of hair and can include a personal inscription.
  • Decorative urns and caskets serve as dignified vessels for ashes. Whether for burial, scattering or keeping, these sacred containers offer a final resting place for your loved one.
  • Memorial benches and trees can provide a tribute in your chosen area, as a special place to visit.
  • Customised Memorials allow you to create a fully bespoke item that is reflective of you and your loved one.

Arranging a Memorial

Our team of Memorial experts are here to provide advice, support and expertise, so you can find the memorial which is right for you.

We are here to help you through the Memorial process, while keeping you informed at every stage.

We can help obtain permits, permissions, check regulations and manage the requirements for your chosen Memorial.

A traditional headstone, in most parts of the country, can require approximately 6-9 months, to design, create and install. In most situations, we can offer plaques and markers as a temporary tribute until your Memorial is ready.

More modern and personal Memorials can have much shorter time scales, so we recommend getting in touch to discuss your requirements further.

Please call Memorial at Graham J Sullivan Funeral Directors on 01792 775262 to speak with the Memorial Specialists for advice and guidance.
